Family Teacher II #17-46

NOP-CBR II Full Time, Oahu

The Family Teacher oversees and ensures the successful operations of a twenty-four (24) hour, evidence-based and best practice treatment program that addresses the behavioral and emotional problems related to the deviance of both adjudicated and non-adjudicated youth in a structured small group family-style living setting.  The Family Teacher works as a team member with direct care staff and the Parent Consultant to implement the Teaching-Family Association (TFA) and other evidence-based (EBS) models. The Family Teacher must demonstrate an active commitment to Catholic Charities Mission and strive to incorporate the four Core Values in all aspects of daily work.

EDUCATIONAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in human services, administration or related field.  Additional experience and an Associate’s degree may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.    Three (3) years of experience working with troubled youth.  One (1) year supervisory experience. 

EMPLOYMENT CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:  Applicable background checks: CAN clearance, FBI clearance, and HI State criminal check, TB clearance, valid driver’s license, copy of no-fault automobile insurance, traffic abstract, and access to insured vehicle.
