The Training Specialist is responsible for identifying and arranging training sites and childcare provisions, preparing the “learning environment” and conducting resource family trainings. The Training Specialist serves as an important member of Hawaii’s System of Care and actively participates and fosters collaborative relationships impacting the recruitment, assessment and ongoing support and retention phases of the process. The Training Specialist must demonstrate an active commitment to Catholic Charities’ Mission and strive to incorporate the four Core Values in all aspects of daily work.
EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related Human Services field plus over two (2+) years experience in foster care/adoptions, Child Welfare System or the provision of direct services to families and children in human services.
EMPLOYMENT CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: CAN clearance, HI State criminal check, FBI clearance, TB clearance, educational verification, valid driver’s license, traffic abstract, vehicle registration and access to insured vehicle.
