Difficulties Encountered by Immigrants and Refugees

General Immigration Services - Provides assistance in the preparation and filing for Naturalization, Lawful Permanent Resident, Petition for Relatives, Adjustment of Status, Employment Authorization Document, Affidavit of Support, Certificate of Citizenship, Advance Parole, and renewal of Green Cards. Also provides updated information on immigration policies and procedures. Available on O‘ahu and Big Island.

Difficulties Encountered by Immigrants and RefugeesEmployment Core Services - Provides acculturation, pre-employment training, and job placement assistance to low-income immigrants and their families who are at or below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Assistance is provided for the immigrants to achieve greater economic self-sufficiency and improve their ability to function effectively in the workplace and in their communities. Available on O‘ahu and Big Island.

Refugee Reception and Placement - Provides pre-arrival, reception, and post-arrival services to refugees for the first 90 days in the country. (Notification required from the office of Migration and Refugee Services in Washington, D.C.)
