Shirley David
Shirley Hart David is a retired law librarian from Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. She is the oldest of 10 siblings with five sisters and four brothers. She graduated from St. Catherine University in 1971 with a BA in Library Science/Political Science. Shirley is an active leader in the Hawaii Island community serving with Friends of the Libraries, Kona as Vice-Chair, Scholarship Chair, Facebook coordinator; Community Enterprises, (West Hawaii Forums), President, member since 2013; an Election Precinct Official since 2008; Holualoa Elementary classroom reading tutor; Hawaii Democratic Party, previous precinct secretary; and Boy Scouts, citizenship badge counselor.

Shirley is a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish serving as Pastoral Council Secretary since 2006; Social Justice Ministries – Planning Team, Faith Formation Committee and Catechist. She was honored as an Island Treasure by the West Hawaii Vicariate. She and her husband Donald have been married for 45 years.
