Armed Services YMCA Supports Veteran Families Impacted by Kona Low Storm

Mahalo piha to the Armed Services YMCA for their incredible generosity and support of Hawaiʻi’s veterans and their families.

During their recent visit to Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi, Annisa Budiman, Marketing & Outreach Director, and Keola Taniguchi, Executive Director of the Armed Services YMCA, presented our Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program with $5,600 in gift cards to assist Veteran households impacted by the recent Kona Low storm. These resources will directly support families identified through the storm impact list created by Jillian Okamoto and our dedicated Housing Assistance & Referral Programs (HARP) team.

In 2025 alone, Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi has already supported more than 300 veterans and their families across our islands, helping provide stability, hope, and critical support during times of need. Partnerships like this make that work possible.

We are deeply grateful for this growing partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and for their commitment to caring for those who have served our country.
