Catholic Charities Hawai‘i hosts Mental Health Summit

With October being National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, Catholic Charities Hawai‘i this month hosted its Mental Health Summit, featuring a panel discussion on the impact of trauma in the workplace and how business leaders can respond with empathy, strategy, and resilience.

“As leaders of organizations, we influence culture, policy and the lives of our team members,” said Catholic Charities Hawai‘i President and CEO Tina Andrade. “We have the opportunity to listen deeply, reflect courageously and lead with compassion. Mental health is not a side conversation, but central to how we build thriving, inclusive, and resilient communities.”

Mahalo to all who attended our event, and a special thank you to our panel discussion members: Judge Michael Broderick, former Director of the State Judiciary and CEO of the YMCA of Honolulu; Tia L. R. Hartsock, director of the Office of Wellness and Resilience with the Office of the Governor; Venus Rosete-Medeiros, President and CEO of Hale Kipa; and Danny Goya, Director of Strategies and Innovation at the Mālama ‘Āina Foundation.
