Catholic Charities Hawai‘i Joins Aloha United Way’s 2026 Workplace Giving Kick-Off Rally

Catholic Charities Hawai‘i joined dozens of nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations at the Aloha United Way (AUW) 2026 Workplace Giving Kick-Off Rally. The event took place at the intersection of Bishop Street and King Street in front of Bank of Hawaii, where sign-waving, cheers, and smiling faces set the tone for this year’s season of giving.

The rally, a decades-long tradition, marks the official start of AUW’s annual workplace giving campaign. Each year, local companies, organizations, and government agencies come together to raise funds and awareness for causes that make Hawai‘i stronger.

“The critical needs of our people cannot be solved by one individual or group,” shared Emmaly Calibraro, AUW’s Vice President of Resource Development. “The collective leadership and generosity in programs that bring financial literacy, economic stability, and better access to safe and affordable housing demonstrate the care our community has for our people. Our downtown rally is a great display of nonprofits, the business sector, and others sharing in the common goal of rallying for change.”

Last year, AUW invested nearly $13 million into the community, facilitated more than 42,000 requests through the AUW 211 resource helpline, and supported nearly 320 nonprofit partner agencies — including Catholic Charities Hawai‘i.

“Our mission to provide help and hope to Hawai‘i’s most vulnerable aligns perfectly with AUW’s commitment to collaboration and impact,” said Tina Andrade, President and CEO of Catholic Charities Hawai‘i . “By standing together, we amplify the difference we can make for families, kūpuna, and individuals across our islands.”

As the campaign season begins, Catholic Charities Hawai‘i is proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with AUW and our fellow community partners to rally for change, inspire generosity, and create lasting solutions for those in need.
