On Sept. 25, over 15 staff members came together for our Suicide Prevention Awareness Campaign.
From Ching Campus to the streets of Keʻeaumoku & Beretania, our team proudly waved signs to raise awareness for the 988 Crisis Line (Veterans press 1).
This work is so important because suicide remains a leading cause of death among service members and veterans. By raising awareness, we help break stigma, remind people they are not alone, and connect them to lifesaving support.
This initiative is part of Catholic Charities Hawai‘i’s commitment to supporting our military community. Through our SMVF programs, we assist Veterans and their families in finding stable housing, accessing mental health services, and navigating legal and financial challenges. Our goal is to ensure that those who have served receive the care, dignity, and support they deserve.
Together, we spread hope and reminded our community: help is only 3 digits away.
