Mary Jane Home
Serving women and teens experiencing unplanned pregnancy since 1977
Mary Jane Home provides a safe, supportive, and structured living environment for pregnant women who are at risk of homelessness or living in an unsupportive situation.
We offer six private, move-in ready rooms for women ages 18 and older. Residents receive both individual and group counseling, as well as daily classes in infant care, childbirth, and life skills. Our goal is to help women prepare for a healthy pregnancy and birth while building confidence, strength, and independence.

Eligibility
Women may enter the program at any point in their pregnancy and stay until their baby is four months old.
Criteria include:
- 18 years of age or older
- Pregnant and in need of services
- Willingness to participate in education and counseling
- Ability to work cooperatively in a shared environment
- Commitment to following home rules
Please note: The program serves pregnant women only and cannot accommodate older children or partners.
Program Fees
- Fees are based on one-third of a resident’s monthly income.
- A $50 deposit is required.
- No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.
Volunteers & Giving
Volunteers are welcomed and needed to help Mary Jane Home staff provide quality services to the community. You can make a difference in many ways, including:
- Assisting with babies on-site at MJH
- Mentoring residents
- Teaching a class
- Offering Doula services (birth coaching)
- Helping with small maintenance repairs
- Gardening
- Providing transportation
The Mary Jane Program is funded by Catholic Charities Hawai‘i (CCH #96130). We gratefully accept monetary gifts of any size to support our mission. We also welcome donations of maternity and baby items.
