Peter Reyes Attends National Age+Action Conference in Washington, D.C.

Peter Reyes, Community & Senior Services Program Director at Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi, is attending the 2026 Age+Action Conference hosted by the National Council on Aging in Arlington, Virginia.

During the conference, Peter had the opportunity to meet with representatives from the offices of Hawaiʻi Senators Brian Schatz and Mazie Hirono to discuss issues impacting kūpuna, aging services, and support for local communities across Hawaiʻi.

In 2025 alone, Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi helped support more than 6,000 seniors across the state through programs and services focused on connection, wellness, housing stability, transportation, and healthy aging.

The conference brings together aging services professionals from across the country to share innovative ideas, best practices, and strategies that support healthy aging and improve the lives of older adults.

While in Washington, D.C., Peter also visited the U.S. Capitol, reflecting on the importance of advocacy, collaboration, and ensuring the voices of kūpuna are heard at the national level.

Mahalo to Peter for representing Hawaiʻi and Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi as we continue working to strengthen services and support for our kūpuna and communities statewide.
