Recovery takes time. Your support makes it possible.

Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi continues to walk alongside communities affected by Hurricane Lala and Hurricane Lowell, working with community partners to provide financial assistance to individuals and families facing urgent recovery needs.

On Kauaʻi, the Wainiha and Hāʻena communities experienced the impacts of two storms in a short period of time. Hurricane Lala affected the area in August, followed by Hurricane Lowell in September.

There is encouraging progress. As of today, 99.3% of Kauaʻi’s power has been restored. Power was successfully restored to Wainiha and Hāʻena on the evening of Thursday, September 24. While this marks an important milestone, recovery continues for communities still facing storm related damage and other challenges.

CCH staff remain actively engaged in supporting the community, working alongside local partners and helping connect individuals and families with financial assistance and other resources as recovery continues.

Our donors make this assistance possible. Your generosity helps Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi respond when disaster strikes and provide financial support to individuals and families who need help getting back on their feet.

Together with our community partners, we remain committed to the long road of recovery.

When you give, you help make recovery possible.

On the ground. Walking with our community.
