Maui County Rental Assistance Program

The Maui County Emergency Rental Assistance Program (MERA), administered by Catholic Charities Hawai‘i, intends to help qualified people on Maui pay rental and utility bills going back to March 13, 2020, depending on a household’s needs. Households who have received previous rent or utility assistance from other COVID-19 relief programs and are in need of further assistance are also encouraged to apply. Program staff will verify previous assistance received to prevent duplication of services.

How to Apply

  • Only one person per household can apply.
  • When a person applies, they will get a receipt for their application, a tracking number, and they can check the status of their application online.
