Stand Down Event Brings Vital Services to Veterans
Catholic Charities Hawai‘i was honored to participate in the Stand Down event hosted at the Daniel K. Akaka VA Clinic. This collaborative gathering brought together numerous community partners and service providers dedicated to supporting Hawai‘i’s veterans.

The event offered a wide range of resources and support services aimed at strengthening the well-being and stability of those who have served our country. Veterans were able to access food distributions, health care information, housing support, and other essential services—all in one place.

Stand Down events are rooted in the commitment to care for our veterans with the dignity, compassion, and support they deserve. We are proud to be a part of this ongoing effort, alongside partners such as the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPIHCS), SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG FOX SPGP), Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), Legal Services for Veterans Hawai‘i (LSVH), and others.
Mahalo nui loa to the volunteers, organizers, and partner agencies who helped make this day meaningful for our veteran community. Your dedication ensures that those who have served are not forgotten—and that they continue to receive the resources they need to thrive.
