Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi was honored to attend the Episcopal Ordination and Installation of the Most Reverend Michael T. T. Castori, S.J., as the sixth Bishop of Honolulu on July 28, 2026.
Held at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, the historic liturgy brought together clergy, religious, community leaders, and faithful from across Hawaiʻi to celebrate this joyful milestone in the life of the Diocese of Honolulu. Metropolitan Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco served as the principal consecrator, officially ordaining and installing Bishop Castori as Bishop of Honolulu.
Representatives from Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi were honored to witness this significant occasion and celebrate alongside the Catholic community as Bishop Castori began his episcopal ministry.
As a ministry of the Diocese of Honolulu, Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi looks forward to continuing our mission of helping people in need to help themselves under Bishop Castori’s leadership. Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi continues this work by supporting the social mission of the Church through compassionate service, strengthening families, supporting kūpuna, assisting individuals and families experiencing homelessness, welcoming immigrants and refugees, and bringing hope to communities across Hawaiʻi.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Bishop Michael T. T. Castori, S.J., and offer our prayers as he begins this new chapter of leadership. May God bless him with wisdom, compassion, and strength as he shepherds the people of Hawaiʻi.
