Earlier this week, Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi was honored to host our Waiʻanae Housing Fair, bringing together families and community partners to connect residents with critical housing and support resources.
The event continued to grow this year, expanding from 20 vendors in 2025 to 30 community partners in 2026. A total of 68 family households attended and received valuable information, support, and encouragement.
Each family also received food through Paradise Chapel’s FoodBank distribution. Mahalo to Makaha Community Center for supplying attendees with personal care essentials including toothpaste, Tylenol, deodorant, and laundry detergent.
Community partners included SHEG/HPP Programs, Support Services for Veterans & Families, US VETS, Alternative Structures International, AlohaCare, MedQuest, Benefits Employment and Support Services, Disaster Case Management, 811 & Hawaiʻi Relief Programs, Community Outreach Court, Legal Aid Society of Hawaiʻi, Waiʻanae Neighborhood Place, Hawaiian Council, Mary Jane & Family Assessment Center Programs, Residential Youth Services and Empowerment (RYSE), Hawaii Home Ownership Center, LIFT HI, Work Hawaiʻi, Teen Challenge, Foster Realty, Mark Development, Hawaiʻi USA, Honolulu Community Action Program (HCAP), INPEACE, Hawaiian Humane Society, FEMA/SBA, Makaha Community Center, and FoodBank.
Mahalo to every organization, volunteer, and family who helped make this event a success. Together, we are strengthening our community and creating pathways toward housing stability and hope for local families.
