To kick off the season of giving, the Maryknoll School community collected holiday gifts and essential items to support approximately 50 families served by Catholic Charities Hawai‘i.
As part of its annual “Baskets of Blessings” donor drive, Maryknoll students, families, and staff purchased clothing, toys, and household necessities to help brighten the holidays for those facing hardship. During a school assembly, the donations were presented to CCH staff, and students joined in loading boxes and containers of gifts for delivery to CCH offices, where they will be distributed to clients in the coming weeks.
Each fall, the entire Maryknoll ‘ohana comes together in the spirit of compassion, gratitude, and service to uplift local families. The “Baskets of Blessings” tradition reflects the school’s longstanding motto, “Noblesse Oblige” — to whom much is given, much is expected — and embodies the power of community generosity.
Catholic Charities Hawai‘i extends its heartfelt mahalo to Maryknoll School for their partnership and commitment to caring for families across our islands during the holiday season.
